This is going to be a relatively short tutorial...

After you have all your materials ready...

All that needs to be done, now, is to put everything you have together. As you saw on page one, this launcher is no slingshot - it's air powered. So, here is the basic ideas behind why I chose this specific design. I'm not quite an engineer nor am I a physicist, but it seems to me that my ideas hold true. Check'em out:

• In order for a very long and accurate shot to take place, the launcher must have a long barrel.
• It so happens that a marshmallow is exactly 1" in diameter.
• If you have a long barrel, then you must have an air chamber with at least the same volume of air as the barrel. Preferably you should go with much more because the more air you've got built up, the more force it will come out with when subjected to a very small aperture.
• I didn't want to have this super long monstrosity of a launcher so provisions had to be made. I decided that if I had the barrel and the air chamber pointing in the same direction, it would be easier to carry around and easier to aim - hence the U shape...
• I wanted to get a very durable valve to be able to handle the high pressure and still have a small aperture.
• Duct taping, sadly enough probably won't be logical in this case. Go with PVS cement because it literally MELTS the two pieces of PVC together and creates a bond stronger than the PVC itself. I know, that's almost unfathomable, but it's true...

One thing some people may not know about is how to actually apply the PVC cement. It's an easy process, but I would advise asking someone to help you out or use some kind of vice or clamp to hold one of the pieces in place. You need to get a goof thick layer of the smelly blue goop on the inside of the big piece and the outside rim of the piece that will be going in to the bigger piece. Do this as quickly as humanly possible, This stuff dries FAST once it comes in contact with the PVC piping. Make sure the pieces are in the orientation that you need them in because in about 30 seconds, they are never moving again.

The first thing you need to do is start piecing together all the individual parts. My suggestion would be to begin with the two 90 degree, rounded 2" PVC pipe connections. Put them together as straight as you can.

The next thing you can do is attach the piece highlighted in blue in the picture to the left. This is the 2" female to 1.5" male connection. Again, if you found a 2" to 1" converter for cheaper than the setup I have, go for it! Otherwise, follow my lead.
